Debiopharm Group is a global biopharmaceutical development specialist. For Debiopharm S.A. our Lausanne based company, we are looking for an:

ALLIANCE AND LICENSING MANAGER

who will report to the Director, Business Development and Licensing.

Job Responsibilites :

• Manage the alliance relationship with partners;
• Support the Search & Evaluation team in the identification of potential partners / projects of interest and perform commercial therapeutic area target screening;
• Coordinate internal commercial due-diligence to support the scientific evaluations on potential licensing candidates, summarizing the rationale and findings in succinct written reports;
• Prepare financial /valuation analyses on potential business development transactions;
  Coordinate targeted competitive intelligence initiatives with the Business Intelligence functions;
• Coordinate evaluation and support negotiation activities with potential partner companies;
• Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and to potential partner companies.

Job Requirements :

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a Business Development & Licensing function in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• MBA, degree in Finance (investment valuation), preferably with a degree in Life Science
• Prior experience and successful track record in acquisitions or licensing ;
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, understands standard valuation methodologies;
• Ability to manage internal scientific, marketing and financial analyses ;
• Ability to coordinate evaluation and negotiation procedures with potential partner companies;
• Proven ability to work with others to develop an effective business development team;
• Proactive and autonomous personality, able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to work under pressure, with a good capacity to determine work priorities;
• Languages: English and French;
• Travel: approx. 20%
