Debio 8206

Debio 8206, Pamorelin® 6-month is a luteinizing hormone releasing hormone (LHRH) agonist in development for the treatment of prostate cancer. The product completed a phase III study with the six month formulation. These results showed similar efficacy and safety to the already marketed 1- and 3-month formulations.

In September 2008, Debiopharm filed simultaneous applications of  the product in the U.S. and in Europe.  The NDA (new drug application) for the 6 month fomulation of  Trelstar® was submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on September 11 and the application for the 6 month formulation of Decapeptyl® was submitted to the European Agencies on September 19.
