Debio 9902 SR

Debio 9902 SR is a long acting acetylcholinesterase inhibitor developed for the treatment of mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Based on encouraging clinical results obtained with the oral formulation as well as good pharmacokinetics and safety profiles obtained in healthy volunteers with the long acting formulation, Debiopharm is currently developing a sustained release formulation of Debio 9902 by using its proprietary PLGA technology platform. The aim is to increase safety, compliance and efficacy. Debiopharm received a recommendation from the DSMB to continue its Phase IIb BRAINz study with Debio 9902 SR.
