BC Platforms, a Debiopharm’s investment portfolio company, received the 2020 Microsoft Health Innovation Award in collaboration with the US Hospital group Kaiser Permanente for their work in pairing clinical and genomic data on the same platform to advance the ability to offer patients precision medicine. The organizations won the award in the Reimagine Health Category for their work in leveraging Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform to integrate data from multiple research centers into a single virtual biobank.
Winners were selected based on innovation-related criteria, classifying the proposed solutions as forward thinking or having the capacity to deliver groundbreaking results and improved health outcomes for patients.
